Devonshire Cream

Devonshire cream is a clotted cream traditionally made in Devon, England, as an accompaniment to scones and jam.  So thick and indulgent it doesn't need anything added to be fully appreciated.  The same can be said of the luxurious Devonshire Cream iris, and clearly many international judges feel the same way as it is a prolific award winner and an extremely popular iris.  Usually one of the first to sell out, typically because of its usefulness and ability to harmonise with so many garden styles and colour schemes, however is better suited to cooler parts of Australia.
